Mrs. Kristi Marie Brantley

Mrs. Kristi Marie Brantley, age 52, a resident of Millbrook, AL passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at her home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Wheeles officiating. The interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers will be Jordan Hosek, Anthony Evans, Nicholas Petrie, Russell Osborne, Chris Shirley, Jon Shirley & Eric Carr. Kristi was born on October 14, 1972, in Montgomery, AL to the late James Alfred Blankenship & Myra Dell Wheeles Blankenship. She attended Coosada Baptist Church and was the Business Office Manager for Brantley Heating and Cooling. Kristi, a firecracker wrapped in kindness, passed away, leaving behind a world significantly less funny and far less flavorful. Known for her razor-sharp wit, legendary one-liners, and the kind of laugh that could clear a room—or fill it with joy—Kristi was the heart of every gathering. Her greatest pride and deepest joy were her children, whom she loved with a fierceness only rivaled by her love for family cookouts, late-night heart-to-hearts, and cracking open a cold Mountain Dew (with a cigarette in the other hand, even if she was trying to quit for the grandkids she couldn’t wait to spoil). She could whip up a meal that tasted like home, offer advice that felt like a hug, and yes—if you ever needed to hide a body, she was your girl. No judgment, just a raised eyebrow and a shovel. Kristi never met a stranger just friends she hadn’t laughed with yet. Her happiest days were spent surrounded by family, friends, and the occasional chaos that came with both. Whether floating on the lake or solving all the world’s problems from her porch chair, she made everything feel lighter, easier, more bearable. She was easy to talk to, impossible to forget, and exchanged more secrets than the CIA. Though she’s gone, her humor, her warmth, and that mischievous sparkle in her eye live on in the stories we tell—and in the hearts of the grandbabies she was already bragging about. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Kathryn Smith. She is survived by her husband Dan Brantley, sons Chris Woods (Katie), Tristan Brantley, daughters Samantha Abney, Morgan Huett (Caleb), Ashley Brantley, Addison Brantley, sisters Melissa Shirley (Jeff), Melanie Thompson (Larry) and two grandchildren on the way that she was excited about, along with a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home, Crematorium & Memorial Gardens of Millbrook, AL directing.
