“My mother very selflessly purchased a complete funeral package in Florida over twenty years ago. She didn’t know at the time that she would be moving to Alabama to live with my husband and me in her later years. When she passed away unexpectedly earlier this month, I don’t know what I would’ve done without so many wonderful people that assisted us. One of them was Chris Thompson, owner of Brookside Funeral Home. He was called and came to our home (where my mother passed) very quickly. He took care of everything and I knew from the beginning that she was in very good hands. He ensured that everything was done so that she could be transported to Florida, to the funeral home that she had chosen years ago. Our family is so thankful that Chris Thompson expertly and flawlessly handled everything here. We could not be more grateful. ”

“Chris and everyone at Brookside have been amazing to me. My youngest son passed away on December 18th 2025 and I didn’t know what to do because I wasn’t prepared and Chris made it easy for me to understand everything. They were all kind during this time of mourning. And I am having to use them again today because of my mother who passed away on the 4th of March this year.
