“Chris and everyone at Brookside have been amazing to me. My youngest son passed away on December 18th 2025 and I didn’t know what to do because I wasn’t prepared and Chris made it easy for me to understand everything. They were all kind during this time of mourning. And I am having to use them again today because of my mother who passed away on the 4th of March this year. I would have completely been lost without them.. Thank you all Chris and everyone at Brookside Funeral Home.”

“Simply wonderful people at Brookside. I worked with Chris for my loved one. I didn't know what to do, other than call the funeral home. I was greeted by a warm and caring voice that immediately put me at ease by letting me know that my loved one was in his care now. He took it from there. After a short meeting, everything was set up. They met every expectation and more. I highly recommend this locally owned business. I contacted Ridouts in Prattville, but was greeted with a polar opposite salesman. He was quick to start sending me things to purchase, but he never asked what my plans were, what my budget was, or even how could he help me. That was a very impersonal and insulting interaction that quickly resulted in a blocked number. If you want to deal with a salesman, I highly recommend going somewhere other than Brookside. If you want to be put at ease by a caring staff (all of them), then Brookside is who you should call. Thank you Brookside, for everything. Our interaction with everyone there allowed us to focus on grieving for our loved one. I'll be by soon to set up my arrangements.”

“Brookside are very caring people and did an excellent job with my mother's funeral. They paid extra attention to the details we wanted, very compassionate and understanding. However, we were very disappointed with a lot of the flower deliveries from the local florist, Jenelyn's. I thought it was very disrespectful to send flower arrangements for my mother's funeral with July 4th ribbons. My brother's flowers that they ordered didn't even come with the correct vases or flowers. The casket spray that they made was absolutely beautiful with the spring flowers. Other flowers, I don't feel like they put in the respect for the situation. And these flowers were ordered days ahead of time. ”
