Mrs. Judith Savannah Walker Boone

Our beloved mother, Mrs. Judith Savannah Walker Boone age 84, a resident of Millbrook, AL ascended the staircase to heaven on January 12, 2025. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. Ezel Walker, Jr. officiating. The interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers will be William Lawrence, Curtis Boone, Clarence Boone, James Taylor, Terry Long, Ed Walker, Michael Sims, Micah Boone & Greg Walker. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. Judith lived her life of love, strength, and purpose, dedicating herself to her family and community. She prepared her children for this moment by teaching invaluable lessons: to be self-sufficient, successful and kind, to help others without expecting anything in return, to stand strong in the face of adversity, and to carry themselves with dignity and resilience. Throughout her career, Judith worked as a dedicated manager of a group home, where her compassion and leadership touched countless lives. As a young adult, she embraced the wonders of the world, traveling with her children by her side to marvel at the abundance of God's gifts. These adventures remain cherished memories, filled with love and awe. Judith's legacy lives on in the lives she nurtured, the strength she instilled in others, and the love she gave so freely. We love and miss her more than words can express, but we find comfort knowing she is at peace, watching over us. She was born on April 15, 1940, to the late Ezell Walker, Sr. and Savannah Hinkle Walker in Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Alma Walker Sims. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Clarence Boone, Jr. (Lorraine), Curtis Boone (Sharreen), Elnora Vanessa Sims (Michael), Gloria Boone (James Taylor), her siblings Edward Lee Walker (Evelyn), Rev. Ezel Walker, Jr. (Shirley), Mae Buggs (Clarence), Helen Mitchell (James) and Lula Walker, her brother-in-law William Sims, Sr., eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home, Crematorium & Memorial Gardens of Millbrook, AL directing.
