Mrs. Cynthia Reni Ashley

Mrs. Cynthia Reni McBride Ashley (Cindy) was born May 26, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Mrs. Mary M. McBride Young and the late Mr. McLind M. McBride. Cindy earned her wings on Saturday, August 8, at her residence, surrounded by the love of her family, in Montgomery, AL. Cindy/Mama/GG/Grandma/Auntie as she was affectionately called, will be missed, yet fondly remembered by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents McLind McBride and Mary McBride Young, husband Charles (Pop) Ashley, daughter La’Dorma (Dorma) McBride, brother McClinton (Sonny) McBride, sister Norma McBride Hamlin Reeves, her grandparents several aunts and uncles, a granddaughter Amber and nephew Omar. Cindy’s love of family, music, singing, and laughter is what made her a joy to be around. She was the type of person that would help anyone she could if she was able. Cindy leaves to love and cherish her loving memories: a very loving and devoted daughter; De’Cima Wilson (Anthony), and son; Curtis Crawford both of Montgomery, AL, Three Loving and devoted sisters; Pamela M. Whitson, Montgomery, AL, Theodora Johnson (Terrance) GA, Rejenia Francis, MI, one brother; Billy O. McBride GA, Grandsons; Anthony, Desmond, Curtis, granddaughters; Andrea and Daysha; fourteen great grandchildren that includes six loving and devoted ones; Desarri, Serenity, Saniya, Aaliyah, Timothy and Demari; Loving and devoted nieces and nephews; Gia McCall, Ebony McBride, Terrell McBride (Janay), Essence Cargill (Eric), Steven Jones and Michael Houston. A loving and devoted special friend Steve Brooks and family; Host of other nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousin and friends to include loving and devoted ones Linda Lotts, Kia Wilson and family, Oleeha Grum and family, Felicia Duncan, and Patricia Kennedy. When days on earth are over, a mother’s love lives on, through many generations, God’s blessings on each one. Be thankful for our mothers, who love with higher love from power God has given, and strength from up above. Our mother’s love is the greatest gift we have receive from God above.
