Mr. Scott Andrew Schodorf

Mr. Scott Andrew Schodorf, age 51, a resident of Elmore, AL passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at a local hospital. Visitation services will be held Monday, October 10, 2022, at Brookside Funeral Home 6-7 PM family hour, 7-8 PM friends of family. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 11 AM at Brookside Funeral Home with Brother Glenn Mize and Brother Pat VanCor officiating, graveside to follow. Scott was born May 27, 1971, in Winter Park, Florida to Charles Schodorf and Mary Henley (Wilson). Scott is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lisa Michelle Schodorf (Morgan), son Brandon Schodorf (Kaitlyn Strickland), daughter Stephanie Schodorf, three granddaughters, Ella, Evie and Malloree-Jade. Scott is also survived by his parents Charles (Mary) Schodorf, Mary (Don) Henley, Brother Robert (Amy) Schodorf, Stepbrothers Kevin Goggins and Paul (Donita) Henley, Stepsisters Angela (Joe) Gantt, Tammy (Greg) Cash and Tina Wilson and several nieces and nephews. Scott was an Automobile Mechanic for 35 years working at several dealerships and independent shops throughout Alabama. He was an avid lover of NASCAR, Auburn Football, the Atlanta Braves and all things Rock-N- Roll. He was a council member for the Town of Elmore and a member of Elmore United Methodist Church where he served on several committee chairs and as a member on the Board of Trustees. Scott was involved in the Boy Scouts of America as a Life Scout and later in life as a Scoutmaster and held several positions throughout the Tukabatchee Area Council. He was a Vigil member of the BSA Order of the Arrow, a District Award of Merit Winner and a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Scott was always active in his children’s lives and in the community whether he was coaching softball, serving as a member of the SEHS Quarterback club, working concessions, being a Scoutmaster, and even a Dance Dad. He was always his children’s biggest fan and cheering section. In lieu of flowers donations can be made on Scott’s behalf to Friends of Scouting, Tukabatchee Area Council.
