Mr. Warren Eugene Norris Jr.

Warren Eugene Norris Jr. passed away surrounded by the legacy of a life marked by strength, resilience, creativity, and faith. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Warren was preceded in death by his father, Warren Eugene Norris Sr., and his sister, Gena Norris. He is survived by his mother, Mary Frances Norris; his brother, Michael Norris; his son, Tyler Norris; his son, Cory Norris and wife Jamie Norris, along with their children, Grace and Silas; his daughter, Lauren Norris; and many other beloved family members and friends. He also leaves behind the mother of his 3 children, Laura, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. From an early age, Warren stood out for both his physical toughness and determination. As a young man, he became a defensive star on his high school football team, earning respect through discipline and grit that would characterize the rest of his life. In adulthood, many knew him from his years at Gold’s Gym, where his incredible physical strength and commanding presence became part of who he was. Even among strong men, Warren was recognized as one of the strongest. Professionally, Warren built a successful career in sales and was especially known for his years with Lamar Advertising, where he developed many lasting relationships throughout the community. More important than his accomplishments, however, was his faith. Warren loved Jesus deeply and possessed an extensive knowledge of Scripture. He served faithfully in ministry, including as a youth pastor at Gateway Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, where he invested in the lives of young people and pointed them toward Christ. Warren was a hard man in many ways — tough, disciplined, and unapologetically strong — but those who knew him best understood the love behind it. He believed in building strength in others, especially in his children, and the lessons he taught through perseverance, accountability, and resilience will continue for generations. In recent years, Warren embraced his artistic side, spending time woodworking, creating sculptures, paintings, making gifts for his grandchildren and other works that reflected both his creativity and depth. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his family finds comfort in the legacy he leaves behind: a legacy of faith, strength, conviction, hard work, and love. His life was a testimony that strength and compassion, toughness and creativity, conviction and faith can all exist together in one man. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
