Mr. Rodney A. Rowlee

Mr. Rodney A. Rowlee, age 67, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2023, at Prattville Health and Rehabilitation in Prattville, Alabama. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Family Worship Assembly 740 Alder Street Black River Falls, WI 54615 with Rev. John Cowles officiating. The family will receive friends from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Warren Mills Cemetery in Warren, WI. Pallbearers will be Frank E. Rowlee, Frank O. Rowlee, Gerald Gebhardt, Jason Ott, Austin Galster and Jon Gebhardt. Rodney was born on November 23,1955, at Black River Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, to Frank A & Viola Rowlee. Rodney had a twin brother, Ronnie. Rodney was born intellectually disabled from birthing complications. Rodney lived on the Rowlee family farm in the Oak Ridge area of Black River Falls, Wisconsin until July 1999, when he chose to move with his sister, Kristine Reaves and her husband, Ronald, and their family, to Prattville, Alabama. He loved living in Alabama with no snow to shovel. Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Frank A. Rowlee, his mama, Viola Iverson Gebhardt Rowlee; 5 brothers; Ronnie Rowlee, Toney Rowlee, Carl Gebhardt, Donald Gebhardt Sr., Gerald Gebhardt Sr., and one sister, Darlene Blazina. He was also preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents. Rodney is survived by his brother Frank E. Rowlee (Donna), sister, Kristine Reaves (Ronald), sister, Delores Tucker (John); sister-in-law, Thelma Rowlee, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He graduated from high school in 1973 and worked numerous jobs, Handishop Industries, Burger King, McDonalds, Pizza Hut and spent over 10 years at Walmart in Prattville, Alabama. Rodney was a very happy fellow and was proud of every job he ever had. He had a great love for stuffed animals. He loved music until he lost his hearing. He had a speech impediment all his life, but he could sing "Jesus Loves Me," beautifully, making a joyful noise unto the Lord. He attended church regularly up until April of 2018, when he suffered a stroke. Rodney spent many hours watching tv and loved western movies. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
