Mr. Nathen "Nate" Dean Jones

Mr. Nathen "Nate" Dean Jones, a resident of Millbrook, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 1:00PM in the SEHS Gymnasium with Pastor Chance Sangster officiating. The family will receive friends in the gymnasium from 12:00PM - 1:00PM. Interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers, SEHS Varsity Soccer Team, Joshua Jones (father), William Hamby (uncle), Brodie Becker (friend), Shiv Patel (friend), Cody Bennett (friend), Graham Baker (friend), Jay Smith (friend) and Jayden Hurst (friend) Honorary Pallbearers, Alex Caylor, Phoenix Dale, DJ Brownfield and Jimmy Howell. Nate leaves to cherish his memory, parents, Joshua Duane Jones and Mandie Marie Jones, sisters, Shanya Natalie Jones and Camille Grace Jones-Bishop, grandparents, Brad and Loretta Jean Wood, Robert and Susan Elmore, Anthony and Karen Bishop and Gloria Jones, great-grandfather, Ellis Bishop Sr., aunts, uncles and cousins as well as countless friends. Nathen was the rock of his family. A piece of their hearts living outside their chests. He loved his family and friends very much and took up for those who were closest to him. He would never let anyone push him or his loved ones around in any situation. He had a very strong will, even as a child. He truly loved God, his family, friends, soccer, and gaming. He was at the church every time the doors were open. There isn’t a more extraordinary young man, son, brother, or friend than Nathen. He is the most loving and lovable to anyone who has had the opportunity to get to know him. He has the ability to inject immediate life into every parched place of your soul with the simplicity of his smile. His warmth on a cold day and his hugs are healing when times are hard. Nathen is so much more than words can describe. He is the gift that only God can give, and he will be cherished as such, to the end of our days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Grandview Pines Baptist Church or to SEHS Soccer Team.
