Ms. La'Dorma Kenyette McBride

Ms. La’Dorma Kenyetta McBride (Dorma) was born November 13, 1976, in Detroit, Michigan to Cynthia McBride Ashley and the late Sie Dozier. After moving to Millbrook, AL she was raised by Cynthia McBride Ashley and the late Charles Pop Ashley. Dorma earned her wings on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL. Dorma as she was affectionately called, will be missed, yet fondly remembered by all who knew her. Dorma was baptized at Lake Elam Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Richard Russell, in Millbrook, AL. She was preceded in death by her father; Sie Dozier, her Daddy; Charles Pop Ashley, her grandparents, three brothers and two sisters. Dorma’s love of music, singing, and laughter is what made her a joy to be around. She was the family Karaoke Queen. You left us broken with this one!! A Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 AM at Lake Elam Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Jackson and Rev. Richard Russell officiating. The family will receive friends on June 19,2026 at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 - 5:00 PM. McBride of GA, nephews; Anthony, Desmond, Curtis, Jeffery, Charles and Markel; nieces; Andrea, Daysha and Tiesha; Seventeen great nieces and nephews that includes six loving and devoted ones that she called her babies; Desarri, Serenity, Saniya, Aaliyah, Timothy and Demar; a host of cousin and friends including loving and devoted cousins Gia McCall, Ebony McBride, Essence Cargill (Eric), Terrell McBride (Janay) and Felicia Duncan.
