Gordon Beasley

Gordon Beasley, 90, of Deatsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Also known as Pee Paw, Gordon was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. As a devout Christian and dedicated member of Coosada Baptist Church, Gordon served in the children’s ministry and was Deacon in the church. You would never miss him rooting for the University of Alabama, and his competitive nature was always experienced during a close game of dominos with family or friends! Gordon was a proud veteran and served in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. As a decorated serviceman his work ethic and patriotism extended to any job he took as a civilian. As his health declined, he rarely complained but continually asked for prayer. He completely trusted in God’s sovereign plan for his life and was looking forward to being in the presence of his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his daughters Ramona Singleton and Ingrid Matthews, and he is survived by his loving wife Donna Beasley, his son Robert (Lynn) Beasley, and son-in-law Ron Matthews. Grandchildren- Amanda Beasley, Carlos Calderon, Cammie Beasley, Jeannie Beasley, Jamie Matthews, Penelope (Jeremy) Quates, Melissa Carden, Zandriah Thompson and Nathaniel Murner. Great Grandchildren- Alexa Beasley, Lana Calderon, Hunter Rumfelt, Nola, and Tyler Sandlin, Jadon and Pierson Quates Extended Family- Daniel and Joan Beasley and The Gallo Family. The family is hosting a Celebration of Life at Coosada Baptist Church 5687 Coosada Road Coosada, AL 36020 Saturday, July 16, 2022 Receiving of Friends 12:00-2:00 pm Service at 2:00 pm In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Coosada Baptist Church, The Great Commission Fund, which is dear to both Donna and Gordon's hearts. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Patricia Clark for being an amazing live- in caretaker during these past few months. The love and care you provided to Donna and Gordon will forever be appreciated.
