Mrs. Sheryl Lebel

Sheryl Lebel, a former hair stylist of Prattville passed away on January 12, 2022 at the age of 57 at her residence. Sheryl is survived by her wife Kelly Porter of 29 years, mother Judith Jinright Lebel of Montgomery, aunts Karen (Tom) Clark of Acworth, GA, Jan (Gerry) Griggs of Harvest, AL, uncles Rick (Celia) Lebel of Palm Desert, CA and Ron (JoAnne) Lebel of Auburn, ME. She is preceded in death by her father Norman Roger Lebel, brother Lee Lebel, aunt Deji Griffin, and grandparents Leon & Genie Jinright and Emory & Yvette Lebel. Sheryl was born in Opelika, AL on April 29, 1964 to Norm & Judi Lebel. She played drums and sang for the youth choir during her high school years. She graduated from Hansen’s World of Beauty with a degree in Cosmetology and worked as a managing cosmetologist for 15 years. She switched careers to wholesale mortgage where she became part of Judy Brooks “Dream Team” for 15 years. Services will be at the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home on January 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jack Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to MD Anderson Mucosal Melanoma Research at Donate MD Anderson Cancer Center in her memory. Sheryl’s friends and family are a true blessing. It might have been her battle but she did not fight alone. Everyone who encouraged, assisted and were by her side in her greatest time of need.
