Mr. Robert "Bob" Brown

Mr. Robert "Bob" Brown, a resident of Elmore, AL passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his residence. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Brookside Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gary Jackson officiating. Mr. Brown served in the United States Army as a medical specialist during the Vietnam War. He later retired after serving over 20 years in the United States Army. Mr. Brown also retired from the State of Alabama Department of Corrections as a officer. He worked with the City of Millbrook at the Recycle Center after his retirements. He was a longtime member and an usher at Lake Elam Missionary Baptist Church in Millbrook, Al and he loved to fish and enjoyed his family . He was born to the union of the late Ralph Brown and Lula Jackson Brown. Those preceding him in death are his parents Ralph and Lula Jackson Brown, sister Georgia Knight, brothers McKinley Brown and Ralph Brown, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Rosetta Williams Brown, daughter Rolanda O. Brown, son Ronald K. Brown (Inez), ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sisters Carrie Tarver, Doris McCall, Tennessee Gilkey, brothers David Brown (Bertha), Joe Brown, sisters-in-law Minnie L. White, Lorene Smoke, Earlene Brown, brothers-in-law Evans Williams, Willie H. Williams (Mary) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2020 one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, AL directing. Mask are required to be worn to the visitation and service.
