Mr. Louis Bradley Bennett

Louis Bradley Bennett, age 86, longtime resident of Millbrook, AL, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur S. Bennett and Clara Dell Hicks Bennett. Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Wingard Bennett; one son, Gregory Louis Bennett (Jan), Wetumpka, AL; one daughter, Gail Bennett Rolle, Deatsville, AL; four grandsons, William Louis Bennett (Ashlin), Kyle Jameson Bennett (Valeri), Clayton Thomas Bennett (Carlie), Bennett Erik Rolle; two granddaughters, Paige Bennett Thornton (Chase), Kristin Rolle Holzer (Coleton); twelve great-grandchildren, Waylon Lucas Bennett, Clara Kathryn Bennett, Wallace Lynn Bennett, William Locke Bennett, Joseph Brady Goldberg, Lyla Kathleen Goldberg, Shay Christine Bennett, Addie James Thornton, Alexandria Lynn Thornton, Abigail Leigh Rolle and soon-to-be-born, Samuel Bradley Bennett. Mr. Bennett was born and raised in the Mount Olive Community in Butler County, AL. He retired after working for 43 years with the L&N/CSX Railroad. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett have been members of Crossroads Community Church, formerly Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, in Elmore for nearly 50 years. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Grandsons-in-law, William Louis Bennett, Kyle Jameson Bennett, Clayton Thomas Bennett, Bennett Erik Rolle, Jackson Chase Thornton and Timothy Coleton Holzer. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Robert Mullins and Pastor Jeremy Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Davis Cemetery in Elmore. Visitation will be held at the church between the hours of 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Brookside Funeral Home, Crematorium & Memorial Gardens of Millbrook, AL directing.
