Mr. John Howard Fitzgerald, MSgt USAF Retired, age 73, a resident of Wetumpka, AL passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Ingram officiating. The interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens with military honors. Mr. Fitzgerald was Retired from the USAF and a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents John Alfred Fitzgerald and Phyetta Fae Craver Fitzgerald. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lucy Fitzgerald; son John Fitzgerald; daughters Jane Jones (Everett); Carol Kramer; Cheryl McKinney (Bill); brothers, Randy Fitzgerald (Carol); Danny Fitzgerald (Kristin); sisters, Joetta Johnson; Linda Fitzgerald; thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Millbrook Baptist Church Building Fund, 3431 Browns Road, Millbrook, AL 36054 or to the Montgomery Cancer Center, 4145 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, AL 36106 in his memory.
