Mr. James Jackson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. James Jackson age 85, a resident of Millbrook, AL, formerly of Tysonville, AL transitioned peacefully from his Earthly Home to his Heavenly Home on Friday, July 1, 2022. Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 12 noon from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Chesson officiating. The interment will follow at New Hope #1 Baptist Church Cemetery in Tysonville;,AL. Pallbearers will be Kevin Jackson, Kelly Jackson, Keith Jackson, Brian Jackson, Cameron Jackson and Randy Bell. James Jackson was born September 27,1936 to David (Georgia Lee) Jackson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lorine Jackson, his father and mother, four siblings Amos, David, William and Mary Eliza Jackson & three daughters Delphine Jackson, Sarah Campbell and Evette Jackson. James Jackson was employed at Sabel Steel for over 60 years. He was a devoted deacon and chairman of the board at New Hope #1 Baptist Church in Tysonville,AL. He was a dedicated family man and farmer and loved working with his kids and grandkids. James leaves to Cherish eight kids Gloria (John) Pridgen of Shorter, Alabama, Earnest (Jackie) Jackson of Millbrook, Alabama, Melvin (Carolyn) Jackson of Shorter, Alabama, Jauwaun Jackson, Barbara, Stella and Jackie Peoples & Tiffany Jackson. Four siblings Delores Sanders, Fleming Jackson, Willie Hatchett and Mamie Lee Pierce, and a host of grandkids, great grands, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and care given to Mr. Jackson and to them from Montgomery Cancer Center and Baptist Hospice of Montgomery, AL. Mask are required to be worn to the visitation and service. Brookside Funeral Home, Crematorium & Memorial Gardens of Millbrook, AL directing.
