Mr. Harold Thomas "Tom" Speakman, Ret. CMSgt, age 77, a resident of Elmore, AL passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at UAB Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Pastor John Varner officiating. The interment will follow with military honors at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Mr. Speakman served during Vietnam and Korea and retired as a CMSgt. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar Early Speakman & Bobby Irene Hill Speakman, sister Patty Jeeter. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Barbara Ann Speakman, daughter Sonya Strickland (Rob), Teresa Lee (Clint), brothers Bobby Speakman (Louette), Larry Speakman (Debbie), six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jacob Lee, Reed Strickland, Mase McDonald, Derrick Lockhart, Adam Minor & Chris Vega. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation in his memory. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Brookside Funeral Home, Crematorium & Memorial Gardens of Millbrook, AL directing.
